Hua Xia Dairy Farm has grown to house 7000 cows. Of these, 2800 were imported from Australia and New Zealand and the rest were bred on our farm from US stock. Some of the secrets to our success are as follows:

High Standards of Animal Welfare Sand bedding, heated drinking water in winter, hoof trimming, cooling water sprinklers, fans etc plus very sophisticated feeding systems mean that our cows are relaxed and healthy and in turn give good yields of naturally nutritious and safe milk. Of-course, animal welfare alone is not enough¡

IT and Technology:

Play a major role. The latest in DeLaval milking equipment ensures efficient milking and the lowest levels of bacteria. Computer controlled Kirby TMR feed mixers and dispensers help us to serve the perfect feedmixes ¨C time and again. IT including RFID technology is used to control individual animal and herd health. From a hand held device it is possible to know for every milking cow the history of her milk yield, her health, births etc.

Animal Nutrition is a field that we are working hard to professionalize in China. With partners such as Land O¡¯Lakes and The US Grains Council, we analyse every batch of imported cowfeed for nutritional content and toxin traces.

We have embarked upon corn growing improvement projects for our own corn fields and those of the many local farmers that we support.

In June 2006, as a testimony to our hard work and process driven excellence in the dairy industry the U.S Grains Council selected us to be their partner and demonstration farm in China.

Process Control£ºis fundamental to everything that we do. We do it correctly the first time¡and every other time thereafter too.

Our People£ºSome of the main shareholders in Hua Xia Dairy Farm, who are in fact also the creators, are hands-on working there on a daily basis, driving forward with their passion for excellence. The 200 staff who work on the farm are given training, support and accommodation and encouraged to strive for better in their work and personal lives.
