At Hua Xia Dairy farm we are pioneering the use of Biogas power generation technology- which takes shape in the form of our Methane Gas Digester. Now that this is producing electricity, we have begun to experiment with putting the bi-products created to good use. The slurry produced by the biogas production is both a natural and organic fertilizer, and we are now using it on our crops.

The slurry naturally contains large amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, amino acids, auxin, gibberellin and sugar- making it a high-quality fertilizer. Biogas slurry drip irrigation is used after crop fertilization to reduce the nitrate content of the crop, as well as significantly increase vitamin content.
Continued use of this fertilizer leads to increased soil fertility, which in turn increases yield capacity. Ultimately the result is higher quality crops and higher yield, which means increased revenue!

The use of this will also help to conserve water and fertilizer making it an environmentally friendly initiative. Biogas slurry drip irrigation also meets the standards for organic fruit and vegetables.

Although we are still in the testing stages, we expect the technology to be to fully operational in the coming months. We hope that this efficient and economizing initiative will help to promote environmentally sustainable high-yield crops in China.
